es ist ja unglaublich was rund um die Sache abgeht. da gibt es foren noch und noecher die sich mit diesem thema beschaeftigen, ganz abgesehen vom europaeischen blaetterwald der sich neben dem irak mehrheitlich dem song contest zu widmen scheint. sogar der standard mit 3 beitraegen

I think it is about time that EBU banned this sort of entry. What was Austria thinking about in chosen what has to be the worst Eurovision 'song' in years. All this does is to cheapen the event and allows the critics of the contest to justify their opinions. All I can assume that Austria is sticking two fingers up at the contest. If this doesn't finish 26th with no points, there is no justice.

Pls, let me say as an austrian: I am really sorry for this entry. A lot of people here feel ashamed about Poiers victory. I really hope that the ESC-officials decide to disqualify him. It is more than obvious that Alf Poier's song has nothing to do with the orginial ESC-idea and will bring ESC and Austria in discredit. Pls don't let that happen!

Alf Poier’s song symbolizes the retreat of the helpless individual into an infantile, yet comprehensive little world, even more so since Poier sings in Styrian, the peculiar language of a long surpressed ethnic group. (see the home page of the European cultural capital of 2003 at: www.graz03.at). Perhaps Poier provides us with the only legitimate answer to a complex world of threats that talks so much about peace.

und anscheinend aergert man sich auf einer belgischen seite ueber den oesterreichischen beitrag, auch wenn ich belgisch (oder was auch immer) nicht verstehe:
Alf Poier heeft vrijdagavond Song.null.drei in Oostenrijk gewonnen. Met Weil der Mensch zählt vertegenwoordigt hij de Alpenrepubliek op 24 mei. Verwacht geen hoogstaand stukje muziek van de Oostenrijkers in Riga: naar het Songfestival zeggen ze dit jaar een welgemeende 'f**k you'!
Nochmal: Danke Oesterreich, Danke! Endlich haben wir richtig gewaehlt, auch wenn der Rest von Europa noch in geistiger umnachtung duempelt ;-)
