Yesterday I've been at the Palmenhaus in Vienna, invited by the US Embassy. The invitation said it is a dinner in honour of somebody - actually I had no time to find out who exactly ...

Well, I found out yesterday! I spent a good part of the great evening talking to most prominent politics blogger and think tanker Steven Clemons! He even got his own Wikipedia article and writes one of the highest ranked political blogs called the washington note.

His Blog is the No1 read blog by the state department and he's got some 20.000 people coming to his blog daily! Wow!

It was really fantastic to talk with Steve - whether it was the global financial crisis, his highschool time in Japan, his think tank or his facebook account and out shared ideas about digital identities in the future.

This is what I miss very much in Austria/Vienna - The personal, open minded and enthusiastic exchange of ideas and aspirations.

I also got to know cool people from the Kreisky Forum and the Austrian Marshall Plan foundation, met Helmut Spudich again and many more.

Thanx Steve for the great evening - thanx to the US Embassy for inviting me ...
