Today I had the chance to got for lunch with Stowe Boyd and Christopher Clay after having my talk on adding emerging media to the marketing mix.
It was great because it was the first time to have an hour or so to talk to Stowe - or to listen to his stories from 1988 (I was at the age of 10 back then ;-)! and his ideas about today, especially in the context of the flow concept.
It was also great to see Christopher again, who was a former colleague of mine (feels like a long time from now, but is less than 2 years). It is a strange feeling to see somebody who is introducing me to Stowe as "my former boss" - today being himself a really fascinating entrepreneur, building great services, winning seedcamps and by doing that just being a great person as well! Actually I never felt like being Christophers boss but being a colleague ...
Even back then when Christopher was part of our crew one could see that this talent had to break the corporate barriers some day and start his own thing. This made and makes me think if and how we as a company could act as a micor-incubator and participate in the entrepreneurial spirit of our people. I am sorry that we lost Christopher as a part of our team and I am happy for him that he is following his passion.
